Objective
It was a fantastic opportunity for Arka Softwares to work for the UN Women's Organization. This project aimed to design and develop a web portal connecting all women from different corners of the world. It also inspired us to create something unique for education and social reform.
About UN Women
The UN Women web portal aims to educate girls and women about women’s human rights and policies. In detail, it works as the central hub of information on all the standards, laws, policies, reforms, and worldwide initiatives the UN takes to make this world more suitable for females. It also works for the betterment of gender equality.
Timeline
The time taken to develop this project is 6 months here, we have to design and develop by keeping its central theme and all requirements in mind. The performed steps are – wireframing, UI/UX, frontend & backend development, CMS development, quality analysis, and others. Within the given timeline, we developed and delivered it successfully.

Challenges
Including the developing frontend, backend, features, and functionalities, the prime challenge is to develop the webpages and sections as per the categories mentioned and the requirements of UN Women. Other challenges are implementing CMS, responsive design, payment facility for donations, admin panel, and multilingual support.
Solutions
It gave us immense pleasure to complete the UN Women website. As a solution, we designed and developed the user experience and implemented a dynamic CMS that helps in publishing content and information in real time. Another part of the solutions we have developed is responsive design. Multilingual support, payment integration, engagement features, data privacy & security.
